Dr. Richard Nel: An Ambitious Business Entrepreneur



Dr. Richard Nel is a dedicated, ambitious, and hard working investment banker currently serving as the Chairman for his specialist risk business partner finance company called, Gate Investment Group, LTD. He founded the company in 1997 and has been successfully investing in small to medium sized companies in South Africa and other selected African countries ever since. When he was at the young age of 18, he set out on his own in order to find success within Pretoria, South Africa. Before attending business courses at the University of the Commonwealth in 1998, he successfully created a property business that would help him finance his investment group called, Gate Investment Group, LTD. The group is named for his life long motto: greatness achieved through excellence. After founding the investment company in 1997, he began attending classes the following year at the prestigious institution called, the Commonwealth Open Univertity. He graduated in 2005 with a Masters degree in business administration and a Doctorate degree in marketing. His education and degrees play a large role in his success investing in small to medium sized businesses with South Africa and other parts of the continent as well. 


Dr. Richard Nel offers small to medium sized business financial solutions so that they may create a successful entrepreneurial venture. Through his investment group, Gate Investment Group, LTD, Dr. Richard Nel promotes entrepreneurial growth in an economy that desperately needs to generate capitalistic gain. However, there are strict guidelines in order for a company to be considered by the investment group including sound business principles, integrity, drive, vision, and experience. The business evaluation includes matters such as the product provided, market acceptability, market size, and the businesss ability to exist and grow.
